There are at least a thousand different books out there with advice on how to manage projects. Many of them are very good. Some are excellent. I hope you will let me know in the comments section whether this is on the plus side of the spectrum or the minus.
In this series of posts, I plan to tackle how to manage projects starting small. No Microsoft Project. No Gantt charts. We’ll use a spreadsheet. Practically any spreadsheet will do. I use Excel because I have it, but I’ve use Google Sheets and Open Office Calc – ‘scuse me LibreOffice Calc – in the past.
To tackle project management, we’ll need an example. Let’s use building a shed in the backyard.
